I grew up in PARADISE on the beautiful and exotic Tropical Island of Jamaica and experienced the wonderful Fifties era.

I have Electrical Engineering and Mathematics degrees with a minor in Computer Science

My professional career includes Circuit/Systems Design Engineer, and Technical Publications Writer for many prominent Silicon Valley Companies and owner/operator of BYTE Shop III, MICROBYTE Computer Store in Silicon Valley, capital of San Jose, California, USA.

I gained broad and extensive experiences while working as a Circuit/Systems Designer during the mid 1960s for Defense and Space-related companies.

From 1975 until 1982, I operated the fourth Computer Store in California, named BYTE SHOP III, MICROBYTE Computer Systems in San Jose and San Mateo, California. We started out selling computer kits and then primarily small business systems to the medical/dental profession and companies that required job-costing/estimating such as a large Truck Specialty business and a well-known Tire company, among others.

Later as a Senior Technical Publications Writer I worked for several prominent Silicon Valley Computer companies during the late 1980s and 1990s.

My varied career prepared me for collecting and writing the Abbreviations Acronyms Glossary for American Readers from 1989 to 2002.

In 2004, I began compiling all the latest information in an updated ABBREVIATIONS & ACRONYMS WORLDWIDE for global readers as well, with Internet reference links where available.
