Wow. That was fast! The list of ebooks in Amazon’s Kindle Owners’ Lending Library now includes over 75,000 titles. There are more than a hundred current and former New York Times Bestsellers in the list as well.
Sixteen days ago there were a little over 65,000 ebooks in the program. They’ve added around 10,000 titles or 625 titles per day since then. This is actually a litter slower than their average. Since they launched the Kindle Owners’ Lending Library on November 3, 2011, they have added around 70,000 ebooks or roughly 1,000 ebook titles per day.
Anyone that subscribes to Amazon Prime and owns a Kindle can borrow one title from the Kindle Owners’ Lending Libray for free each month. Over 75,000 ebook titles that can be accessed for free directly from your Kindle is a pretty compelling reason to join Amazon Prime.
