Connecticut college library offers therapy dogs for stressed students

College students force UCSD library to open for finals

California colleges have been home to several protests lately, but one that happened yesterday at the University of California San Diego (UCSD) seems to make sense.

Yesterday, university students broke into a UCSD library that had been closed over the summer due to budget cuts.  They were not trying to steal or damage anything.  They were not trying to make a political statement.  They just wanted a place to study for finals. [Read more…]

APSU library offers student newletters dating back to 1930

The Felix G Woodward Library at Austin Peay State University (APSU) began offering a pretty cool addition to their digital collection two weeks ago.  Visitors to the digital collection website can access all the issues of the student newsletter, The All State, dating back to 1930.  So far, they have 1148 issues available online and have digitized every single newsletter up until 1988.  They are adding the remaining issues as fast as they can.
